TAKING SNAPSHOTS OF HOW IT FELT:
When I shoot my sessions, I love to incorporate a very cinematic style. My goal is to create artistic imagery that feels like you’re the star of your own movie. Because of this approach, I tend to give loose prompts rather than strict poses, directing you through a “scene” similar to how a director guides the filming of a movie. I love to have calls and planning sessions prior to the shoot to discuss what props and activities we can add to make the photos truly your own. For your wedding or elopement day, my approach differs slightly. I would describe it as a blend of documentary and cinematic styles. There are parts of the day where I like to provide more direction, such as during couples photos and getting ready photos, as these typically require some guidance.
However, for the majority of the day, I take a "fly on the wall" approach, capturing moments as they unfold in real time. I love shooting this way because it allows me to observe the day through the eyes of you and your partner, your friends, and your family, truly capturing the emotions of the day. It also allows you to be fully present and enjoy yourself without worrying about what photos have or haven’t been taken. Trust me, even if you don’t see me, I’m capturing just about everything! With my experience of shooting 50+ weddings over the past few years, I understand how a wedding day typically flows and what to expect; to ensuring you can feel every image.
